2 st operativsystem

Hej! Jag är verkligen inte smart på datorer, men nu är det så att jag installerade om mitt windows XP Home edition, för det var lite krångel, men det gamla lappades inte över, utan ett till operativsystem lades till, tror jag iallafall, för när jag satte på datorn var jag tvungen att välja mellan 2 st. På "disk D" så är det en backup, och det står att de finns ett operativsytem där, så jag undrar, är det meningen att det ska vara så? Fanns det två operativsystem hela tiden, bara att det inte stod innan och att det låg på backupdisken?

 

Är detta någon fara, bidrar det till att datorn blir söligare eller något annat, i såfall hur tar jag bort det operativsystemet på backupen, är det bara ta bort "D:/Windows" ??

 

Hoppas någon fortsår vad jag menar.

De lägger en D disk som heter Backup som det är meningen att Norton Ghost skall samla backuper på.

 

Om du installerat om datorn från skivan och lagt xp på fel partition så blir det två operativsystem och det kan bli lite tokigt. Hur man "backar" det vet jag inte då det blir en dualboot där du kan välja vilken av OS:en du skall starta.

 

Har du Dell kan du göra en recovery på hela datorn så du får orginal/fabriksinställningarna igen men det är ju förutsatt att det är en sådan..

NOTICE: To help prevent further complications, it is important to disconnect the system's modem or network cable before starting the restore process.

 

To restore the system to the Dell factory installation, perform the following steps:

NOTE: Norton Ghost is available on Dell Dimension™ and Inspiron™ systems that shipped on or after Oct. 18, 2005 in the Americasand 18 Feb. 2006 in Europe.

 

1. Power the computer on.

2. When the Dell screen appears, press and hold the <Ctrl> key on the keyboard, press the <F11> key, then release them both at the same time.

The Starting Symantec|Dell Recovery Environment screen appears.

 

NOTE NOTE: Press the keys one time only. If you press them more than once, a keyboard error occurs, and the above steps have to be repeated.

 

3. When the End User License Agreement appears, click the Accept button or press the <Enter> key to indicate that you accept the End User License Agreement.

The Symantec Recovery Disk window appears.

* If you want to restore your computer to a backup you created, click Recover My Computer and perform the following steps:

1. In the Select Recovery Point window, select the backup you want to restore to and click Recover My Computer.

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the recovery process.

 

* If you want to restore your computer to the original Dell configuration, click Recover My Computer to Original Dell Configuration and perform the following steps:

1. In the Recover My Computer Wizard window, click Yes or press the <Tab> key, and press <Enter>.

A second Recover My Computer Wizard dialog box appears.

2. Click Yes or press the <Tab> key, and press <Enter> to start the recovery process.

The Ghost32 window appears.

Once the process begins, it usually takes only 8 to 10 minutes to complete. When the restore is complete, the system restarts. Your software is now as it was when you first received your computer.[/log]
