Letar efter en webserver som är lätt att administrera och klarar php.

Förmodar att du ska ha den för att testa lokalt med.

 

Från win2000 och senare har du IIS med på skivan, annars är Apache ett lättskött alternativ.

Vad du gör, använd inte PWS (om du inte vill ha problem).

Det du troligtvis behöver finns oftast klart i configfilen. Bara att ändra eller ta bort bortkommenteringen.

If you would like to use PHP as a module in Apache,

you should move php4ts.dll to the windows/system (for Windows 9x/Me)

older file. Then you should add the following two lines to you Apache

AddType application/x-httpd-php .php

Du kan gärna i din httpd.conf (Apache) göra följande ändringar/tillägg:

 

Leta upp raden där det står:

 

DirectoryIndex index.html

 

och lägg till index.php på slutet:

 

DirectoryIndex index.html index.php

 

Detta gör så att om du skriver katalognamn/ i ditt adressfönster så kommer filen med namn index.html eller index.php att laddas.

 

Vill ha en annan webroot så ändrar du i raderna:

 

DocumentRoot "C:/Program/Apache Group/Apache/htdocs"

 

och

 

Directory "C:/Program/Apache Group/Apache/htdocs">

 

till den katalog du vill ha webroot i. Själv har jag valt att lägga webroot i en katalog identisk med den på mitt webbhotell, vilket gör att jag kan använda samma absoluta sökvägar lokalt som på webbhotellet.

Tänk på att när du ändrar i httpd.conf så ska du använda framåtlutat snedstreck '/'.

Rekommenderar att du installerar PHP i Apache som SAPI-modul.

Rekommenderar Apache, men om du vill ha ngt som är väldigt lätt så kan du ju alltid testa Xitami (http://www.xitami.com/). PHP till den laddar du ner här:

"PHP 4.1.1 installer" konfigurerar Xitami automatiskt.
