när jag i Youtube väljer ut en fil i uhd/4K  i telefonen får jag ingen symbol för casting till tv:n. TV:n klarar utan vidare att visa uhd  från Netflix. Vad kan jag göra?

Är det i Youtube-appen du väljer ut eller i en webbläsare?

Det är ju långt ifrån alla appar som har stöd för Chromecast.

Från appen i mobilen. Kan utan vidare casta annat mtrl från denna app till samma tv vilken är sprillans ny kanske inställning på tv:n?

but I found out that it just happens if I'm logged in with my google account. If I log out, everything is played well, including the 4K videos

One thing I've learned is that YouTube uses a different video compression CODEC than Netflix.

Tack Cecilia - mycket matnyttigt att lära. Kom också på att tvn hr en egen Youtube-app och via den kommer jag åt massor med 4k-material och som i de flesta fallen visar rätt upplösning i tv-ruta. Bilden här blir skarpare än med Netlix UHD.
