Problem med selecteditem stylesheet i en menucontrol, från en custom sitemap provider

I have written a custom sitemap provider that gets its data from a database.

 

In my masterpage i have a sitemapdatasource, (connected to my custom sitemap provider), and a menu control connected to the sitemapdatasource. The menu shows all items correctly and all links works just fine.

 

The problem is that the StaticMenuItemSelectedStyle in the menu control doesn't work.. The selected menuitem is displayed with the same style as every other menu item. When I try same thing with an xml file as sitemap provider the static-selecteditemstyle-class is show correctly.

 

What could be wrong? Current node of my custom sitemap provider works just fine, I write url of current node to the page and it matches with the current url.
